And as I sit here mulling through images and plotting and planning our new adventure to someplace amazing… I realize these are my last images from the fest. All of a sudden my shoulders feel heavier, my posture gets worse and the feeling of loss hits … i really need to shoot again soon.
@meluxine @vassanta and @carlotta get the last words….
@vassanta and I found the perfect prop wandering around in the jungle… fun.
@brooke and I went over to another spot after shooting with the trees and started making these images. but a woman started screaming at us so we had to stop and end our shoot. Drogon must have sensed our peril as he showed us his shadow in the water. good dragon. (it was only a frigate bird but we can pretend).
Brooke and the flayed tree
YES! I can’t help being a Game of Thrones geek. the visions in the series stick in my head and I see stuff making me think of all the symbolism of the show in nature. I’m guilty. @brooke was posing with another tree (the first two images) and I decided to take a break for a minute and have a look around and saw Bolton Banners in the trees. If you don’t watch or read the books I have no comment. lol
There were signs offering reward money to anyone who sees anyone clear cutting these trees in Kauai. Sad that anyone would chop them down. STOP IT. Even though they made for good images, it’s disturbing.
I just finished editing a little bit of @anneduffy Thought I would share one. More soon…
some more awesome Meluxine
Wings on Meluxine
always wanted to write her name that way. when christian and i were finished shooting we climbed a big hill in my truck – trucks are awesome – up in a residential area until the road ended with a horse staring at us. literally. i spied these massive leaves and decided i needed one. i got the smallest one i could and it still stuck out a bit from the bed of the truck. it must have been about 10 ft. long. couldn’t have done that in a car. thanks truck. and @meluxine posed brilliantly with it. here are a few.
Christian shoot No. 5 part II
@christianvh and I wandered over to where the fishermen were for these. We scored points for keeping them out of our area. Except there were dead things in our area and I had to cut and run before I puked. Nothing like a dead shark on a black rock being baked by the sun. BLEK. But when you see an image you power through.
